This will typically be in a folder in “ Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods.” If the “Mods” folder doesn’t exist, you can make your own, as long as it’s in the same location. Move the unzipped files to the mods folder.Make sure “enable custom content and mods” is checked.Open the options, and then select the “game options” tab.) If the “Mods” folder doesn’t exist, you can make your own, as long as it’s in the same location. This will typically be in folder in “ :\Users\\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods.” (Replace your own Windows user name and the letter for your hard drive. Some mods may have specific installation instructions, but most CC should be able to be installed with the following steps. We’ve detailed the steps on installing mods and CC below. (You cannot install or use mods and CC on consoles.) Our The Sims 4 guide will walk you through how to install CC and mods for both Windows and Mac. Installing them can be complicated if you’re new to modding games, but The Sims 4 makes it fairly easy. You can also run batch fixes first but I have a strong suspicion that won't solve the issue on its own.If you’re playing The Sims 4 on Windows or Mac, you can customize the game using custom content (CC) and mods. Yesterday I downloaded Origin onto my new pc and this morning, the game had finished downloading so I was able to open it. If the rest of your CC isn't an overwhelming number, like over 10,000 CC files, I'd consider redownloading most if not all of it and then running batch fixes related to packs/patches. If the last known online version is still pretty old, maybe test them out independent of the other CC to make sure they still work. I'd recommend going online and downloading the mods again but also check when they were last updated and if the creator is maintaining them. (Edit: Okay, found some info, they stopped supporting Mac OS Lion 10.7 and while there are some potential bugs with Mac OS X 10.1 (Yosemite) I guess they're still supporting it? IDK if that's relevant then so maybe disregard.) Also, make sure you're using the PC version of Sims4Studio now and that it's as up-to-date as your version of the game. I think the files for Mac are a little different from PC, so they're not entirely cross-compatible, especially since the files within the game could be named/numbered differently across platforms but also EA stopped supporting Mac a while ago so the files are older and there's a stronger chance something could be broken in general. Any help is much appreciated, I just want to transfer my cc from one computer to another :( Like when I go through all my hair cc, it will appear as just the hair without a head and I know that if it doesn't appear after a while - the cc is broken. How do I make a Sim appear in the test screen instead of just the item? I can't see if any of my eye overlays are faulty because they have no model face to appear on. I went into Sims 4 Studio to try and sus out my broken cc but I came across an issue - I can't get a 3D Sim model to appear in order to test things like skin overlays and such. These foxy and alluring eyelashes are able to transform every female Sim into a star of the night It is full of charm and mystery, but the custom colors are where this CC shines the brightest We strongly advocate for anyone to try this mod which is available at this link. They don't prevent my game from opening on my Mac but when I transferred all the files from my mods folder on my mac to the new mods folder on my PC - the game refused to open on my PC due to broken cc. I have a bunch of CC that I use and only a couple mods. Before I got this new PC I played TS4 exclusively on my Macbook - you can imagine how hard the fans were working lol. The Sims Resource is the worlds largest online community for The Sims franchise, with new content daily, mainly for The Sims 4. So I recently bought a new PC and I've been trying to play Sims 4 on it.
